Yeah, im sure that’s a real hot topic in sociology. |
It covers it from a fairly technical standpoint but the study in sociology is from the point of view on if the technology drove nuclear strategy or nuclear strategy drove the technology, which is an interesting perspective to look at it from.
Also, it was relevant, it was first published in 1990 when the Cold War was still going on. ;)
As far as in depth descriptions of guidance systems though it is considered the best you can get with out security clearance, so I picked it up not really for the sociological views, but from what I could glean from it about the tech. Was recommended to me by a missileer. |

Salary, benefits, THE AMERICAN DREAM.
I'M NOW REPOUBLICAN |
Is the company a web developer or are you developing the company's web assets? |

| It's mobile app development, involving cloud computing and front-end design for a company that create point of sale software and hardware for retailers. There's more to it than that, but that's essentially what the team I'm going to be working with focuses on. The web interface and mobile app that customers use when they purchase our service. |

lol that first sentence had so many buzzwords in it... :p
Good, at least you are doing dev for a company with their own products. If I ever went back to work in that field it'd be for a company with their own products, never a design firm/dev firm that does other peoples . Too many bitches.
Good luck. |

Those buzzwords are essentially how they described the position to me, and I don't start until next Tuesday, so yeah. Basically all I know so far.
I would link their site, but I troll too hard on here and feel that's risky. :p |

Geez I am so tired of hearing about "apps." It seems like that's the only growth market in programming jobs these days. Maybe I just check Hacker News too often, lol.
Anyay, good luck to ya. |

Sociology is the study of society, not some minute aspect of technology and how it affects nuclear strategy. Not that I doubt how interesting it is, I just like being anal (as sushi will tell you) ;) |
