That sucks, Narcism. Do what you gotta do. Listen to that inner voice and try not to isolate. I'm very sorry that happened to you. |

Goddamn I'm so ing annoyed right now. I got up early today so I could get to school for 9am, because I booked lab time to practice skills for clinical. This time is mandatory, 2 hours of lab time, 2 hours of A/V resource time. We have to have an hour of each before midterm, and an hour of each after, and the skills we go over are supposed to link up with our clinical learning plan's learning goals. So yeah, I was diligent and made sure I got in there right away so I could have this lab as a learning evidence for my learning plan (due Monday). But my ing friend showed up 10 minutes late, and against my suggestion HAD to stop for coffee...and sure enough the highway was a cluster and we missed our time.
I'm so goddamn ing enraged right now. |

| people that are late are eli's biggest pet peeve.. if you're 15 min early, you're on time, if you show up on time you're late, if you show up 15 min late.. you're fired.:whip: hope you get it sorted! |

| I have a genetic predisposition to being late that I have to fight against. My mom used to trick us by telling us things would start a half hour before they really did so when we showed up late we would be on time. I've even set my clocks 5 minutes ahead to give me that little extra it takes to get out the door. |

| She knows I'm mad...I don't have to tell her specifically why. She definitely knows I blame her, lol. |

yeah, I get yelled at all the time by the girlfriend for always being late. she's also done the trick of telling me I need to be somewhere like an hour before I really need to be in order for me to get there on time. it doesn't work anymore because she made the horrible mistake of telling me what she was doing, so now whenever she tells me a time, I just add like 30 minutes to an hour to that and still arrive late. I've even put most of my clocks ahead, but I know they're ahead so I give myself more time again.
I can't help it :( |

Yeah I just don't get that. How ing hard is it to manage one's time, such that you can respect how it affects other people? . It's so basic/simple.
On a lighter note, I got my rescheduled to Friday, and I'm driving down by myself. |

It all boils down to unreasonable optimism.
I tend to find myself doing that from time to time, though I'm not usually late if I have to be somewhere at a given time. Sometimes people think it'll take them just 5 minutes to do something and they end up spending way more time than they had previously imagine.
I do, however, avoid being on time in informal settings because I don't want to be anal about time, and this helps me snap out of it, so to speak. There are more important things in life to care about :) |

| if it's important, i won't be late. for example, when i was working a first shift job, i set my alarm ten minutes early, as well as set up 3 separate alarms at 15 minute intervals so even if i dismiss the alarm, another one will go off shortly. |
