yeah, that's what i kinda planned on doing. get the novel or script done first (ie story) and then work it out in some sort of easy-to-read, digestable, visually stimulating work. i like drawing too so it'll be an easy and entertaining project.
the basic idea of the main character/plot is.. well.. i don't wanna divulge that yet because i'm still hammering it out.
one thing i'm concerned about is if i have the discipline to both
a) complete the script to the best of my ability (i imagine myself getting a really quality start on it, then getting bored or frustrated and then half-assing it the rest of the way) and
b) draw the same characters, in a multitude of actions/positions, the same way (to ensure recognizability, quality, and detail). again, i imagine myself getting waaayyy too detailed and technical on the first few strips, and then getting bored and frustrated and half-assing it the rest of the way through because i lack the discipline to do my best work at all times, or i run out of steam, or i run out of creative ways to depict the characters.
or it'll just suck, because i've never written a serious fictional book before, save for a phase in elementary school when i used to write fiction books like, every day during class. man, i was a in' dork.
This will make going to the market much easier, most people won't bother venturing out. Love it.

Nate, write it first. When you have a script, then you're able to start drawing it. If you're worried about the drawing taking it out of you (patience-wise), then story-board it before you start the detailed drawing, with rough-ish sketches of how you want it all to progress.
On the more 'detailed' scenes/panels spend some extra time so you don't forget what you have in your head at the time, but for general stuff, do a quick and accurate (as possible) sketch and work from that later.
DON'T start detailed drawing until you have the script right, of you'll end up doing hundreds of hours of drawing over again (should you change your mind about an unready script at any time).

sound advice, especially in regards to the whole quick-sketch-storyboard thing.. that's a brilliant idea.
i'm actually thinking, being that i'm extremely impatient, that i may write out the first part of the story, transfer to graphic form, and then maybe just let it flow naturally as time goes by, filling the story in slowly.. i dunno. and then once i want to conclude it, i already have a rough idea of how i want it to end, so i can just... do that. lol. i dunno.

These dont sound so much as titles for novels, but for indie films. And when i say indie films i of course mean porn...speaking of which the 2nd one would be awesome as it just sounds like a lesbian extravaganza, the first one is just gay and we have enough of that already on these forums :o

Well I hate to break it to you, but lesbians really are just as gay as boys poking each other in the bum, or Stu with a pina colada replete with novelty paper umbrella and plastic seahorse hanging off the side, your choice on the mental imagery.
Unrelated and random-
The HP Lovecraft Historical society do things to christmas carols...
Great Old Ones Are Coming To Town
Silent Night, Blasphemous Night
I saw mommy kissing Yog-Sothoth
And more!
Apparently there is an album of these things... I must find it

U LIE!
Anyway, lesbians arent gay. Gay people go to hell, if lesbians were gay they would go to hell as well, but if there were lesbians in hell, hell would be an AWESOME place instead of a place of eternal torment, therefore there are no lesbians in hell so lesbians arent gay :o
EDIT:
Awesome find, love the lovecraftian carrols :D
