Is this hipstry? I reckon I'm going through some sort of cultural shock right now. What is this, I don't even...
Lol i live 1 suburb away from northcote, but yeah it's an insult to hipsters, not meant to be taken seriously mate :)
the guys is actually mates with john safran (he's in his most recent series (They both bag the out of hipsters, while kind of being hipsters :p ) :) )
actually has a mate of mine in the vid too LOL
but it's definitely not to be taken seriously, guy was a big hit at the most recent comedy festival: He did a show called the 86 tram (a tram that goes from bundoora into the city etc), with all songs etc based around travelling on that tram... i didn't see it though..
EDIT:
like this one is fkn hilarious, even just not being able to get his phone out of his pocket, train going backwards etc LOL, really well done imo :)
piano is the only thing that doesn't sound great, but it's sooo hard to get a good sounding piano from synths etc..
needs a bit of work on transitions as well i think, things drop out and are introduced too quickly, and unexpectedly, which isn't necessarily bad, but try just chucking in some FX sweeps or reversed crashes or something just as a simple transition if you don't want to go into bigger transitions which do take time...
really like the main bits though, bass and stabs sound great :)
.45->1min mark are great, could do with some stretching, or keep it going until the piano break, instead of just dropping it etc?

I figured it was a joke but, because it's not something common (or existent) where I live, it becomes downright bizarre.

Yeah, John Safran posted it on his Facebook account, and that's where I got it from. John Safran was actually making fun of the fact that the girl he's kissing in the video is his actual girlfriend, and that she met the vocalist on the set of JS's Race Relations.

Yeah it is very Melbourne-Hipster, not sure how well it would translate haha, but it really is spot-on for the brunswick/fitzroy (my area) young types, they're ing ridiculous, annoying, and vapid...
The young guy on the tram in a suit mid-way (1:33 & 1;45), and then he's in a crazy get up on the dancefloor in the club bit as well, off to the left (1:56)..
Not a close friend, He went to my high-school and met him later when we were doing the same course at university :)

Handed all my stuff back to work today and dropped my car off. I'm a free man!
Was about as positive a separation as I could have hoped. Go me :gsmile:

Did they do the whole 'dead man walking' with a box, clean out your draw, security guard and hurl your unemployed arse out on the street?

Well, Steve's a Kiwi, which is contagious from what I understand. Best to just let him leave of his own accord.

Kinda surprised he didn't do a runner with the company car.

Well if he really is a Kiwi he would have stolen a better one on the way out after defecating in the last one to mark his territory. Though, they've certainly come a long way since hacking people's heads off, eating them and wearing grass skirts.
