I laughed heartily for a good 5 minutes about it, replaying it over and over in my head. Lolololol.
And then I considered hiding under the pile of duvet/pillows that was left at the top of the stairs while the sheets were being washed...but thought better of it. Only because I would have been in the position to get stomped on. :o |

I'm frustrated. I got a free book from Audible.com and it's taking me ages to download it. Then I found out I cannot use my current mp3 player to play it. Later I realised that the player I want from the list of players I can use to play their files, namely the RCA Lyra, is not available in my country.
No way I'm ever going to pay for a service like that! It's like telling me I can purchase a book but the ink is invisible to photocopiers AND to the naked human eye, so I need to get a special pair of glasses (because the one I have is not special enough to see it) that makes sure the book I'm reading cannot be read by anyone else.
...
What on hell do they think they're doing!? |

| yeah thats why you can laugh at people that think paper books and periodicals are a dying market, hackers and technology failing will always keep it real |

I don't want to keep it real, I want to embrace the damn thing! Mp3 files and pdfs are much easier to handle than actual books... though I'm avid buyer of the latter.
The moment retailers start from the assumption that my first impulse is to distribute as many copies as I can to the entire world of something I originally bought for my own consumption, well, they certainly are going to lose a client.
And I'm sure I'm not the only one. As a matter of fact, I'm willing to bet quite a few distributors of mp3 content on the internet do that in order to get their sweet revenge  |

its like this that pisses me off about academics too, like there some sort of secret special knowledge, people try to keep thier too exclusive are only slowing down processes, and distribution

This is so common in my field it's borderline pathetic. So what if someone manages to spot something in your data that you've been incompetent to find!? Are we doing it for the knowledge or just to make ourselves look important?
I'm not usually this angry, but I'm really really mad right now. Raaaaaarrrr!!!! |
