wtf:wtf:wtf
| quote: | A suburban Kansas City woman was left sitting in a vinyl recliner for so long that her skin had fused to the chair and she had to be pried out to be taken to a hospital after suffering an apparent stroke, authorities said.
Carol F. Brown's adult son told a state official he had left his 74-year-old mother in the chair for five days without helping her get up to use the bathroom or bathe because he was honoring her wishes to die in her Independence home, according to court documents that described the woman as a "rotting corpse that was still breathing." Brown later died. |

I miss being able to buy beer and wine in the supermarket in NZ. In fact I miss my old supermarket, I haven't found one here that's half as good yet.
That and alcool was cheaper there. |
Obviously wasn't enough to keep you there! Instead you get fancy stuff like 'sunshine', 'employment' and an economy that doesn't look like 30 years of hippies took consecutive turns having a huge, stinky, lentil filled dump on. :p |

Bahahaha yep this is what I tell them back there :p That and the whole family is here.
It's ok I'll be going back for a few days and I can live it up with my $AU while my friends complain about being poor and rained on. |

| I think it's a great place but just a bit boring for me right now. And you get sick of anywhere after 10 years imo. |

Usually, reading BBC news makes me depressed, because lately all the news is about as depressing as it gets. Turns out, there was something posted that lifted my spirits up a bit.
| quote: | Ravers and time travellers re-record history
In an increasingly disposable world, efforts to preserve and catalogue our analogue and digital lives could change the nature of history as we know it.
In a modest house in Chicago's Bridgeport neighbourhood, an antique library filing cabinet holds hundreds of old cassette tapes. Many have handwritten labels, some two decades old.
The cabinet stores the raw analogue material for Ravearchive.com, an online project aimed at preserving and distributing the DJ mixtapes, party fliers and fanzines of the 1990s US rave scene.
The site's founders - two ex-ravers who have gone decidedly straight - hope their collection will allow older fans to indulge their nostalgia for the scene, while exposing a younger generation of club kids raised on dubstep and grime to the origins of those genres
|
So yeah, ravearchive.com ... the only thing that is making me depressed now is that i need to dish out money for a new hard drive, because i simply do not have the disk space to store what i want to have. |

| quote: | Instead, we have boozy Bill Murray on our screens, luring young teens to jump in to his musty van of laziness. He seems to say it’s okay to be white and old and a fool because this country is good and will reward you your failure (welfare?). No, this is wrong. We need adults who act like adults: grandfathers who impart patriotism on their offspring, dedicated employees who keep the engines of our economy greased regardless of their aging, noble gentlemen who are humble before their great God. We do not need perverts like Bill Murray lusting after our beautiful children with a reckless almost urgent need to tear them from innocence so he can insanely explore his lost, burning childhood on their soft bodies on old couches in dirty apartments in the ghettos of America. What have we lost? What will we ever gain? What does it mean when we say that Jesus died for our sins? What has happened to the country I once loved!
America needs to boycott Bill Murray and do it now! Peel back the layers of this aging man: slapstick comedian, jaded movie star, imperious intellectual, notorious bon vivant, restless wanderer in the dark, slick self-promoter… Have you reached the core yet? Is he hollow? Or has Bill Murray come to the grand revelation himself that he is desperately clawing against his own mortality with half-hearted sexual perversion and intellectual degeneracy, wandering drunken through the night, without passion or direction, already lost to the game of life. He is defeat. He has given up making meaningful gestures of faith or righteousness to instead nest in those small moments of self-satisfaction before he slips into the quiet bosom of obscurity. There is no denying that this grotesque and dangerous creature can be described as nothing less than one of the four horsemen of America’s impending Apocalypse. |
