New Belgium could do much better. I like Mothership Wit and Ranger quite a bit. |
New Belgium is actually a solid brewer, I enjoy their winter beers quite a bit. I think using Fat Tire as their flagship is kinda weak though.

Oh right, I also drink a lot, but doctors have said that shouldn't affect things at all. :wtf:
It's being Irish, I know. |

For what it's worth: I have been under the EEG machine for experiments, it's kind of strange having all the suckers on your head but it's not that bad. Kind of fun if they let you watch your brain waves in real time. |

| getting an eeg is actually pretty relaxing...except for some of the strobe light parts. |

Seizures apparently. I've been having brief blackouts (driving somewhere and not remembering how I got there, whole conversations I had with people with no recollection) without being under the influence of any substances. The Dr. said that could be a sign of some kind of seizure where people would seem otherwise functional, but their brain isn't working how it should.
Edit: I just looked it up and it seems closest to a petit mal seizure.
Jenny might know better. |
hope everything turns out ok. walked in on my brother-in-law having a seizure last night, ambulance, ER, the works. he's had a bad history of migraines & neck/back pain since getting t-boned by a cattle truck 10 years ago. never any seizures, though he's been on every pain medication/opiate/alternative medicine treatment under the sun. not sure what's going on, but he got an EEG strapped to him today, too. good luck, you. |

seizures or migraines?
 |
Is it normal to get that done for migraines? I get atrocious, stroke-like migraines (blindness, cognitive drop outs, including memory ing up, inability to talk properly, limb numbness and tingliness etc), but have always just thought its a normal migraine (runs in the family)... you guys have made me think I should get it checked out now... :( |

Not to be any kind of "OMG panic" guy, because I'm not, but go and get it checked out anyway. If it runs in your family, then they should get it checked out too.
If it's just a migraine, then that's all it is. If it's not, then there might be something that can be done. Medical science is pretty ing awesome these days :) |

Same here, except i wasnt hit by a truck but i slipped on some ice and cracked my head on the pavement. Since then migraines are almost a daily occurrence, coupled with insomnia, constant neck and back pain and continuous memory problems (which is why i have to write most down now, my memory was never perfect, but it wasnt this terrible). Cant remember a thing that happened for two months after the accident. Apparently thats how it actually works when you have amnesia, its not that you dont remember who you are, but you cant actually form any new memories. After 5 years of tests to see if they could fix my problems i said it and havent been to the doctors (about that particular problem) since. Been fine for almost 5 years now, though i have been having an awful lot of headaches recently, might need to pay a visit again just to check out that nothing serious reemerged. |

My only saving grace is that through numerous EEGs/CAT scans and MRIs, they still can't find anything wrong with me (thus I cannot be officially diagnosed with anything specific) |
Bring your cats in the scanner and your photobucket next time you visit. They'll come to the same conclusion that the rest of us have, there's nothing really quite right with you! :p |
