lol, sorry!! I almost always use the same split, regardless. 2 on, 1 off, 3 on, 1 off, repeat.
The only things I normally change are my diet, cardio, and pace/exercises/reps. |

i shall adopt it and pretend i came up with it from this day forward!!!!

What does your diet look like on a typical day?
Is your goal right now simply cutting fat? |

| currently I'm bulkin atm. my diet is around 2300~2700 calories...it seems like I'm bulkin my stomach instead. I've only worked out for like 2 months (newbie). hmmm....I have a hard time benching since my form sucks and my right arm isn't as strong as my left. What can I do to make my arms even in strength? |

| If your new to working out i wouldnt recommend going on cycles right away. Work your body for a couple more months so it gets used to being punished. As far as making your arms catch up, do 2 extra reps with the arm thats lagging for every set you do, itll catch up eventually. Also if your putting fat on your stomach instead of muscle you might want to check what your eating and how much your exercising. Post your diet and exercise plan and im sure some of the other guys will chip in with advice. |

yeah cutting fat. i think my diet is pretty good; i grew up eating well (low sugar, low salt, organic, tons of veggies, etc) so my diet is alright; i make 90% of everything i eat. although, i DO eat trail mix (unsalted peanuts, almonds, raisins and m&ms) lots and lots of trail mix. |

30 minutes on the eliptical (heart rate ?) to the point where i am unable to speak then 15 min of cool down on the bike OR 45min on the bike (heart rate @ ~140, higher as i'm on the bike longer). no real plan on which i'll do all depends on what machines are open or how i feel that day. plus i live in nyc so i walk everywhere, to and from the gym is a 1.4mi walk.
i just might be in a slump which is expected i guess. |

I do not think there is ever a good reason that one should plateau or fall into a slump. You are truly doing cardio, this will not burn fat. You need to lower your heart rate to around 115 or 120 and sustain it for 40+ minutes. Chances are you're cannibalizing muscle instead of fat by raising your heart rate to the levels you mentioned.
Give a 15% incline @ 2.3 miles per hour for 50 minutes a try. Do that for a week and see if you don’t notice a slimming effect. Also, though it sounds like your diet is in order, make sure your caloric intake is appropriate for your height / weight goal. I’m not a fan of the Atkins diet, but too many complex carbs can make fat loss difficult.
Also, try splitting, if possible, your workouts and treadmill sessions in two. I have now read from a few sources that after about an hour of intense training the body starts sending the signal to store as much fat as possible. I have been doing two-a-days for 3 months now and have gone from 200 pounds to 185, albeit with a severely reduced caloric intake.
Either way it doesn’t sound like you’re in bad shape at all, just not exactly where you want to be. Give the incline walk a try for a week or two and let me know how it works! |
