| I gots a question, don't care if its a repost not fixing to read thru 69 pages of crapola, who here actually ENJOYS the burn/soreness after a workout? I feel like its a token of accomplishment. Like you actually pushed yourself and then the body rebuilds. I hear people bitch about it all the time, wusses. |

It feels good after your workout, but it sucks when it's still there when you're trying to work out the next day! |

I do a Five of five routine for bench and curls. That is i do five sets of five then rest/repeat for a total of 25 reps. for incline dumbbell presses i do 5 sets of 10. lat pulls are 5 sets of 9. leg curls are 5 sets of 12 to 15. so my sets look like this:
Bench:
285lbs 5 sets of 5
then:
Close Grip Bench:
235lbs 5 sets of 5
next day:
Dumbell Curls/Dumbelpress(combo superset)
Curls:
70lbs set of 5
then immediately into:
Dumbbell Press:
set of 10
5 of each routine.
then:
Lat Pulldowns
190lbs 5 sets of 9
then:
Leg Curls:110 lbs
5 sets of 12-15
repeat/mixup routine to prevent staleness.add weight when routine becomes to easy on the muscles. |

Yep I don't feel like I've trained if I don't get that :p
BTW I am 6' 1" & around 17.5 stone (245 pounds) without using roids. Last time I measured myself I had approx 52 inch chest. I'm in decent shape with abs but not mega ripped up like the pro's who use all the gear under sun. I've been over 18 stone in my prime again without roids but I had quite a bad injury which required keyhole surgery & my chest just can't take too much strain any more so I just try to maintain now. Plus I'm getting old now ;) it's easier to stay lean when you're younger with a faster metabolism I have to do a lot more aerobic exercise now to keep abs :tongue2 |

I LOOOOVE THE BURN!!!
Especially at my work when it's after a leg day, and everyone is like "OMG what happened to you are you ok?"
and I'm like yeah man, just had a good work out hehehe!!!!
I have 3 flights of stairs to make it through at my work though so I have to hold on the railing and help myself down, I tried sliding down the railing...not so fun:( |
