haha it's been over a week since my competition
the thing was though since my carb deplete/carb load was scheduled for Saturday/sunday and with the news of my Procard I had to compete on friday so yes, I didn't look great until Sunday and now all those cuts are soft curves.......:p

That's the best feeling ever....sometimes I deplete myself unknowingly (basketball) and feel like for a few days, nonathletic, crappy muscles....and I'm all frustrated by it and I think that my workouts are crap and that I'm crap and just crappy crap.
Then I eat a whole pizza, a bunch of Oreos, a gallon of milk, some beef jerky, beer, and some chicken. And the next day I look and feel like the Ultimate Warrior. |

So I need to finally gain some weight!!
Been working out over 6 years now and got to the point I need to put on some bulk to define my muslces more, especially around the arms and chest.
What Diet should I be looking at? As much protein as possible? Steaks, chicken, tuna i've started on but I have no idea what I'm doing when planning meals :)
I've been eating for many years and think its the next step I need to take. |

whats your current diet, cardio, and weight routine.
My body competition friends all said eat CARBS after a workout with the protein. If you can eat a microwaved sweet potato and a protein shake...youre golden. I was able to pack 20 lbs on in 2.5 months by eating a 50/50 whole wheat pasta and meat mix 4-5 times a day. I was eating just about 5000 calories a day to gain mass. A lot of it was fat and it brought me up to a 14% bf but the slim down made it all tighten up again. Summers a bad time to bulk up man! get some crazy rippage going! |

Current Diet
No breakfast
Sandwich + water @ lunch
Toasted Cheese sandwhich @ about 4pm each day
Meat + pasta + veg dinner
Cardio
probably 10mins on running machine + bike combined
Weight routine
1hr in free weights room 3 x a week
Benchpress, lat pulldowns, dumbell lifts, pull ups ect |

right now my stuff is looking like this...
three day split. a little different then i've done before, but always good to switch it up
Day 1: Quad, Glut, Pec, Ab
Day 2: Ham, Lat, Ab, Calf
Day 3: Delt, Trap, Bicep, Tricep, Forearm
doing moderate cardio at the moment...about an hour every other day
and diet is pretty clean...taking in about 2400 cals a day... |

gonna be really hard to gain weight on that. How much do you weigh? and what height?
From just the diet alone you should be eating 2-3x as much hehe. |

my back and arms are pretty rad right now so im just doing 1 workout a couple times a week.
Mainly consists of Leg Press, Incline Bench, Smith Machine Shrugs, quad extensions, incline db flies, more Shrugs, flat dumbell bench, calves.
do that every other day... Just want to get chest and legs a lot bigger |

yeah your back has been pretty sweet man. i've always thought that's been one of my weak points. probably the room for the most improvement there for me. my chest measurement has always been mostly pec i think...
what's your fav exercises on back? (i'm sure i've asked you before haha :p) |
