| I have some problems squatting. I read this guide telling me to squat by lowering myself by the hips but my flexibility isn't that great. my knees end up exerting force and sometimes hurting....what is the best way to increase my flexibility or ready myself for this exercise? |

A quick question.
My gf is feeling kinda ill, like she's coming down with something. I say she should chill as much as possible and maybe skip giong to the gym tomorrow/until she feels better. She still wants to go, but I'm thinking a break could be good to, well, get better? What do you guys do when you get sick? Do you still work out, or give it a break? |

Start with no weight and work your way up very very slowly. If this means doing the exercise for a month with no weight, just to get use to the movement, then that's what you do. Eventually your body will adjust to the movement and you'll be able to add weight progressively. |

if she's pretty sick then i persoally don't think she should go out and do a full workout. i had a pretty bad cold 4 days last week and i only missed one workout, but i really should have just stayed at home and slept because i think pushing your body when you are ill drags out the entire thing plus it's not like you can put 100% into those workouts anyway. |

+1, rest is a must when one is sick. i would say getting some rest is more productive than going to the gym if shes sick. |

| Masonious you suggested a couple weeks back that I should walk for ~50min if i want to burn fat instead of killing myself with cardio. Anyhow, I've been walking on the treadmill (with the occasion 2min burst of running here and there) and I have noticed that I am losing some weight. It's coming off slowly, but it is better than what I was doing before. Thanks :D |

| best way to get your chest cut. Ive been working out since june and ive dropped weight from 269 to ruffley 245 and now back up to 250 since putting on muscle. My question i was just doing regular flat bench press until month and 1/2 ago when i changed to dumnbell press. I do 3 sets of 10 on decline 3 sets of 10 on flat and 3 sets of 10 on incline when i do my chest workout. on the decline im maxing out at 50 pound dumbell in each hand flat i stop at 40 and incline i stop at 35. AM i doing the right things to bulk up da chest?? |

It'll bulk you up, but i would say mix it up a bit more, dont do dumbell presses for every motion, maybe do dumbells on incline, barbell on flat and then flies on decline. Im not a fan of repeating the same exercise at different angles but it might work for ya. Also you probably need more weight than that if you want to bulk up :p
Edit: Also, if you truly want to bulk up, work out hard, and eat right. So make sure you have enough protein in your diet, most ppl here recommend that you ingest aprox. your weight in grams of protein.
Edit: This is my current routine for chest:
Incline Dumbell Presses:
1x12 @ 40lbs
3x10 @ 70lbs
Decline Barbell Presses:
3x8 @ 225lbs
Dumbell Flyes:
3x10 @ 40lbs
As i said, i think its better to mix your exercises up, that way you can target more parts of your chest. |
