I like working out. But I don't like working out when the gym is packed full of people who are all gung-ho with their new years resolutions and don't know anything about gym etiquette. I guess I'll really only have to deal with it for another week or so so I should shutup. :/ |
yes please shut up :eyes: , i've been out of the gym since the week before christmas just because of that reason above. it's ok though, i needed a break to normalize again, i'll go back at it probably 2nd-3rd week of Jan, hopefully that'll weed out some of the omg new years resolution gotta stay in shape people.. |

| I just hit 204 this morning!! I hadn't weighed myself in a few weeks and had been stuck at about 196; started lifting heavy again and forcing in protein. Damn it feels good to be a gangster! |

What exactly did you change? What does a standard chest back day and a leg day look like for you? |

Honestly, the biggest change was protein and water. I've been so negligent for so long, I think my body really soaked up the nutrients.
Chest
Flat bench
Incline db's
dips
flyes
Back
Chins
Standing T-bar row
Close-grip pulldowns
Deadlifts
Rear-delt machine
Legs
squats
seated curls
seated extensions
single-leg leg press, no weight (done mostly for stretching; I also feel that it's therapeutic for my junky knee) |

I love my new workout drinks.
Gatorade powder form (1 and half of the measuring cup) /w 1/2 cup of maltodextrin mix it /w 24 ounces of water.
afterwards I have 2 scoops of ON WHEY /w milk and a banana 15 minutes after.
my damn wrist still hasn't recovered....guess I'm just ganna do some squats and stretch /w some cardio on the side. |

I need to start doing chins more. the scary thing is you and I do almost the same thing. I suck! |

chinups is great for creating a high strength to bodymass ratio. I've been doing weighted chinups for a couple of years now and can successfully complete 1 handed chinups with my right hand (2) but my left hand is lagging.
Dips are excellent with that respect as well. |

| I've been seeing vids of ppl doing deadlifts ( bent-legged specifically). This has been bothering me for a while. The thing is...I've seen ppl do deadlifts in videos like this. The legs lock out first...then they pull their upper body/back and lock out. is that how it's done? I though both the upper body and leg movement is simultaneous and both would lock out at the same time? somebody fill me in. |

bent leg = deadlifts (heavier weights)
straight leg = good mornings (definatley lighter weights or you'll throw your back out)
im pretty sure good mornings are more isolation for your lower back |
