hehe cheers mate.

Im not saying i know everything...but to say that a brief period of walking, calorie restriction, and light lifting wont help break carb addictions, help motivate you with quick results, etc...

im talking from experience...ive tried all this stuff. Its not in a book saying "well you wont get your niacin so eat more celery" its...I couldnt lose weight, i need a routine that would work...so I tried till I found it and coming out of it I had a better idea of what i was capable of.

I wanna hear the diets, routines, and weight gains/loses with pictures journaling what theyve done, or seriously...who cares what they say hehe

Distant from the mark? :wtf:

k, I'm to lazy to read from the beginning of all this but anything such as just 3 cans a tuna a day or the like, is a crash diet and is bad for your body and promotes yo- yo dieting.

Speaking as someone who had BAD eating habits and not an ounce of muscle on me I can say that loosing weight or gaining muscle is NOT a quick fix you can do for a week or find in a bottle. It's a LIFESTYLE change....thats why people are quick to moan when you suggest eating smaller meals more frequently, working out or being active, cutting out all the sugar and fast food. I've heard all the reasons why this sounds like too much work, but if you want a change for the better you can't rely on quick fixes.

JohnPaullino knows what he's talking about, I would be saying the same but I'm off to the gym and can't type anymore.

I'm competing in the FAME fitness model competition this June and have hired this guy to step up my training, he also trained my bf who placed first in the Manitoba Novice welter weight class. (he alsso used to be a 240lbs chunky monkey)http://www.teamgots.com/ :D

Oke i just nearly puked.

I tried to make the bulk shakes with water. Most disguisting thing i have ever tasted. I'll just keep it with light low fat milk.

Anyway todays workout was Chest

Dumbell Chestpress.
1x 15 reps 16 kilo (warm up)
2x 6 reps 36 kilo
1x 6 reps 34 kilo
1x 8 reps 30 kilo
1x 10 reps 26 kilo.
Eh means every dumbell has the weight i am describing.

Incline Bench press but for the lower chest not upper.
1x 8x 60 kilo
2x 6x 70 kilo

Flys with machine
1x 8x 70 kilo
1x 6x 70 kilo
1x 10x 50 kilo

Then went cardio for 35 mins.

Not sure whats going on lately but this has been my fourth day working out in a row with cardio session (interval) and i feel like going again..getting addicted again!

Mu aim this summer is to get more serious , but first i have to reduce my fat percentage drastically, atm 16.6% 1.94 meter, 102 kilo.

first off, youre both out of your element. You need to re-read what I was talking about because youre having a little childlike knee jerk reaction to what I said.

1 week or at max 2 of what I was talking about will have you lose weight, get some discipline, and get some quick results.

If you knew what you were talking about youd realize that your body's vitamin and nutrient reserves would be quite fine by the end of the period. People can live their whole lives off mac and cheese so a week of tuna and working out isnt gonna kill them.

Both of you are new to this thread. THe other two spanned several hundred pages of eating and workout advice. You are taking a snap shot and you dont understand of what.

Stop talking. You have done nothing but say "Nuh uh" when Ive actually done it and I run and I work out and I eat right and I have doctors and physical trainers say im healthier'n .

So far you guys are nothing constructive. Post starting weights, starting pics, and the results of your brilliant diets, or be quiet. You add nothing.

This is something ive struggled with a lot.

I started this all out in 2003 at 6 foot 1, 135 lbs and im now 170.

If youre anything like me you hate getting fat so it makes bulking more difficult. As soon as I see a gut Ill skip a meal here and there to keep it down hehe. The easiest way to do it is match it seasonally. Summer is for leaning, winter for bulking. You get fat in the winter anyway so its fine.

As far as diets what ive been doing lately, and its been adding on a lot of lean muscle without fat is this:

Breakfast:
2 Omega III eggs, an apple, a protein shake, some prunes. Then I take some vitamins like fish oil and a centrum (centrums kind of suck but im not that worried about perfect vitamin balances).

Lunch is usually pretty darn similar. Itll usually be eggs again but this time on a toasted croissant with some deli meat. Try to eat some dark grapes, some macadamia nuts.

20 minutes before workout 3-4 more prunes

workout around 3.

get home, another protein shake, some salad.

hour or so later (dinner):
A chicken breast or some home made burger patties, little pasta, little more salad. Maybe some cashews and a tomato.

I try to stop eating after that because I have sleep issues, but another 1/2 powder protein shake would be nice.

The workouts ive been doing to bulk up have been 12,10,8,8 sets and 3 exercises per muscle.

5 day split of chest back, hams, biceps triceps, quads, shoulders. Abs and Calves every day except quads day (way too tired hehe).

couple days of rest in there for some regen growth and 2x a week about 30 minutes of cardio (can also be done on days off).

The fast metabolism IS hard, and if you really want to you can just make a huge thing of pasta thats half meat and eat 4-5 bowls of that a day plus fruits and veggies and what not. I got up to 180 with that was a lot of fat though. I didnt want to stay like that for 2 months and then do a cutting cycle because, like I said, I hate being fat.

but yeah...if you can knock out 3500 calories a day youll get biggers, but i think that diet and routine set im on right now lets you work out hard and get enough rest to grow.

worked for me :D

thats not a very helpful photo, but it was about a 6 inch gain through chest, 3-4 inches around the arms, 5 inches around the legs.

Thats about a 20lb difference between left and right with the bigger version on the left.

Im now 10 lbs heavier than the heavy picture and still lean, so something is working hehe

I think youd feel better if you stopped drinking milk. I know I did. Lots more energy, stopped getting sick, stopped having too much mucous.

I usually just hold my breath and chug them down hehe. little kid style plugging the nose might help.

Both are fine though :D

looks like youre doing well on weights, although the differnce between the weight you are doing with dumbells and weights on barbells is worrisome.

Doing that much on DB makes me think your form might be suffering from too much weight. Like, you arent going down all the way or are arching your back to help lift it.

Try making sure that if there was a bar between the centers of the Dumbells, it would touch your chest going down. Also try putting your feet up on the bench to really isolate that chest.

Other than that, its a solid routine.

Any particular reason for a reverse buildup on Dumbells weights ? (going from high to low instead of other way around)

Cheers!

Proving you wrong is if off my element? :wtf:

There are faster and better ways to loose fat with easier foods which is a combination of lean meats and low glycemic carbs (Prove me wrong), and no, the post pics or STFU thing won't help you on a debate of proper nutrition.. And being new to this thread? I can't believe the information your posting is so critical to some of the TA's here, i felt kinda sorry. The stuff you post is like the average trainer theory on loosing fat.

Prove me wrong with facts, not some photo of yourself.

There is no such thing as quick results. You can't lose a significant amount of weight in one week unless you do something unhealthy. Everything you reccommend is unhealthy. You are out of your element, and you should be out of this thread. The real pity is that people think you know what you're talking about.
Orbax
tell me your diet and daily activities and there better not be a single unhealthy thing in there.
