any suggestions on the tan? is your tan natural? or do you use some product...i'm tired of being pastey all the time and would like to do something about it and your tan is pretty good. |
Hey ! Yeah the tan that I have for the competition is from LAYERS lof a product called Jan Tana competition tan. I think they have another product that can be used as a tan in a bottle but I haven't used it so I wont recommend it hehe
I do tan though to get a base tan before hand, I use John Abate products they work real good, and I SWEAR by the tanning foam from Lancome!!! THE BEST ONE I'VE tried!!!NIce scent and you get an instant shot of colour before it actually developes.
The stage lights actually make you lighter but I had four layers of that competition tan stuff on so I was one dark mofo that day! But I wouldn't recommend using the competition tan formula for just whenever...I was scrubbing that stuff off for a week
ok I'll shut up now..I just looked up and saw how much I typed about tanning products hehe:p :o |

I recommend the following:
Workout Regimen
Monday & Thursday - Quads, Hams, Calves, Abs, if you’re feeling low on energy during Wednesday’s workout, skip the Thursday legs workout completely, rest up and get some carbs into your body.
Tuesday & Friday - Chest, Back, Calves, Abs, cardio (20-30 min walk @ incline on treadmill)
Wednesday & Saturday - Biceps, Triceps, Shoulders, Calves, Abs, cardio
Sunday - Blessed rest

Gotta say i disagree with this routine. This is too much work for a beginner.
I think he should stick to 3 days working out for at least 2 months. If he sticks to that schedule he will burn out to quickly. It will be far to taxing on him. Especially since his muscles arent used to being worked.
Day 1 - chest and biceps
rest day
day 2 - Back and triceps
rest day
day 3 - legs and shoulders
rest day
res day
repeat. |

Working out each muscle 1 day per week ( as your 3 days/week plan suggests) will not do the job. I have seen great improvement in my strength by doing the Arnold workout, which can be read in his weightlifting book.
In short,
day 1- Chest, tricepts
day 2-back, shoulders, bicepts
day 3-rest or legs if your extreme (but i enjoy the day off)
repeat
this comes out to working out 5 days/week.
ALso if you really want improvement you MUST workout with a partner, because any true lifter will tell you the 3 or 4 reps after your muscles stop working each set (which can only be accomplished with a spotter of course) will do so much more than the first 4/6/8 that you get by yourself.
Personally, if my buddy cannot workout that day I take it off because i consider an individual day a waste. |
