hmm ya, 4 exiercises. then some cardio.
I go to the gym 5 times a week so each group get their own day usually. I go there because i have nothing to do in my life :( |
i'm a girl so i don't see a need in REALLY developing my shoulders so i only do like 2 shoulder exercises on upper body days then i'm done...also,i'm sure you can find less constructive things to do with your time so going 5 times a week is pretty good. |

| have any of you ever told someone how to correctly use a machine? i go to nyu so i use their gym and i don't know if it's just university gyms but i see sooooo many more people blatantly using machines wrong even though there are pictured instructions on everything than when i used to go to ballys. there are times i really want to go up to people and point this out because 1. they could injure themselves or 2. it's a waste of their time BUT i don't want to be a total bitch...i know i would apppreciate someone telling me i was doing something wrong :) |

Okay, for all you runners, I've got a question:
Yesterday I went running for the first time in a couple of weeks. I stretched beforehand, as usual, then did my typical 4 mile run. I hardly break a sweat doing it anymore, but I figure I'd take it easy on my first day back.
Towards the last 2 miles, my shin just below my knee began to ache. Today it is very sore, and it hurts to put weight on it. When I press on my shin with my fingers, I can pinpoint the exact small area where the pain arises from.
Anyone have any idea what gives? I really hope it's not a shin splint. It's just weird, becuase I ran that same course every day for months before with no problem at all. |

A hairline fracture most likely. |

Well .
I just don't understand how it could come on so randomly. I've run that same loop so much, it's like a light jog to me now. |

I'm also reading that the pain from splints/stress fractures is usually greatest at the beginning of the run, and then gradually lessens. But for me it was the opposite. At first I was fine, and then it progressed to a dull ache by the time I was done.
This sucks. It's so nice out, I want to run badly :( |

I correct people all the time.
I just say "Hey I notice you doing this and someone gave me some advice once on it and it really helped me out. They said to _____ and i felt a lot better with it. So...just letting you know if you want to try it." |
