| I'm pretty sure vuvuzelas have to be involved in band soccer. And a guitar. |

Greece has totally shut Messi down. Any other team watching this will have a man marking him the rest of the tournament.
I'm surprised how selfish (not the best term, but I'll go with it) he's been with the ball while knowing that he's being smothered. It looks like he's just frustrating himself in the process. I'm also surprised that Maradona didn't sub him off to both avoid injury and open things up a bit with Higuain or Tevez

That game was painful to watch, especially Messi trying to take every shot he possibly could while having 3 defenders on him. That greedy :stongue:

Diving is part of the game just as fouls are a huge part of basketball. Grow a ing pair, the game is perfect as it is. |
Gotta disagree here. There needs to be a much bigger enforcement of anti-diving rules. It's pathetic. |

Exactly. So why bother with the new rules?
Seriously though, what's chronometered time? Like exact time? |

i don't think the game should be tinkered with too much...but when the game gets decided by a dive in the penalty area it compromises the integrity of the sport imo.
i say this as an azurri supporter as well:p |
A sport is only as honest as its players. Like I said, I think those little things are just part of it all, like elbows in basketball. I can't argue against the idea of having slightly harsher punishments for diving, but I also don't see the big point of it. |

Yes, I guess that would be reasonable if it were extremely obvious.
:stongue:
Who the do you think you are? You obviously don't know about soccer, yet you feel you know how to make the sport better. Just LOL. |
I think I'm someone who is more then willing to give soccer a chance to sway me for my entertainment dollar but it keeps failing to. I've never said I had the answers...I'm just giving some ideas of what I think will make the game more interesting for me and many other casual observers of the game. |

if anyone can do it its messi and as for diving its part of the game. I rememeber when i was a kid we went to Italy for a tournament for my brother. during training his team brought some local trainer. You know what this guy taught? how to dive. i you not. |

the problem with that is that then you give a chance for way more commercial breaks. soccer is a game of endurance, there shouldnt be long breaks. stopping the time would change the way the game is played. now that you have more time to relax and catch your breath, you no longer have to let the ball travel for you and thus strategic passbacks lose their effect, people will have no worries about going out of position, people wont be as scared to try to deek the whole team. stopping the time, s the game up.my favorite part of the game is catching people with their pants down right after a foul is awarded |
