| First match of the cup, torres didn't start |

| Torres is incredibly out of form. What the hell does he have to do with any of their wins? |

Just being on the pitch draws eyes enough to double and open runners or let villa go one on one on the wing. Is this not obvious to anyone?
Against Germany, did Iniesta or Pedro draw double pressure at the top of the box? Germany did one thing right, they frustrated Villa by challenging him with help on a double. One on one Villa only happens when there are other threats on the field, doesn't necessarily mean Torres needs to have a Bronckhorst left foot, he just needs to carry to the top of the box and give up good balls to ramos or villa or space out for xavi or alonso to step up.
I've been watching the whole cup and still say, whoever controls the midfield will win the cup.
-edit-
probably not obvious to anyone because they've all been rooting against spain |

| That doesn't need to be Torres though, because he's not currently bringing anything to that role. They've often played better with Llorente up front. But I certainly don't think that extra striker makes Spain invincible. |

I haven't been watching the whole cup and believe whoever score more goals will win. |

I don't want to argue, I want to have a discussion. But when you say that Spain is undeserving and boring to watch and ordinary, it's ridiculous. Germany had nothing! They literally had nothing they could do against Spain's possession and midfield. It has nothing to do with Germany choking, they just couldn't figure out the right strategy and Spain capitalized on that. They even left Puyol completely unmarked on that set piece, why would they do that? Are they not used to having defenders score or did they just assume that Spain's only ace was David Villa? Silly Germans!
This has prompted me to be really really interested in the Bundesliga now though, can't wait for that to start :D |

| It's so painfully obvious when Americans talk about football that they think they know what they're talking about, but they really don't. Case in point: All you people who don't think Spain played well, that it was a boring match, that Spain didn't dominate, that they're not a great team? Not dissing Germany here i love them to death but Spain played some of the most beautiful football i have seen all year, all the while getting the goal when it mattered most. Entertainment is about more than goals when it comes to football, and domination is too. |
