the team was broken back then and so is now

add to this that this team compared to the one on 86 has way more talent .

Im seeing maradona as a good motivator , short term tournaments like the world cup fit perfect for this type of Coach.
I rather take Iguain over Messi as a striker :o

i don't care about the FIFA rankings.

i care about the players, and their level of play. Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Arbeloa, Cesc, Xabi Alsonso, Xavi, Fernando Torres, David Villa.

who are your subs.

David Silva, Iniesta, Mata, Capdevila, Navas, Marchena, Albiol, Pepe Reina

that is a sick team right there and they play so well together.
as previously stated, it's their moment. they not only have the talent, but most of these guys are at the top of their game.
Group H should be a walk in the park for them.
after that, we will see.

but in this game you never know.

VAMOS ARGENTINA!!!!

dude, you just made a half-decent comment about spain and ended up rooting for argentina. wtf?

in paper, spain might be a great sqad, but they will struggle. they will not make it.

they don't play the same position . Messi no es un numero 9.
different type of players. but overall, in talent. el Pippita is good, but Messi es un dios.

ugh, los once de la seleccion.

Carrizo, G. Milito, W. Samuel, Demichelis, Zanetti, Mascherano, Di Maria, Veron, Higuain, Messi, Tevez

it's late, i'll think about this later. but that looks about right.

Nah, it was the first African team to come to mind that didn't host the event. I don't want South Africa to go through what happened to South Korea in 2002.

Spain? WTF? Spain? You sure are joking, right?

It's funny how some people don't hesitate to climb the wagon to whatever team is ranked first. it's stupid. damn it, where's stupid taha when you most need him? Argentina is more likely to get further. Spain is nothing. Nothing.

hey guys, irectum is back :D:D

Spain will win the cup because they have the best players in the world collectively. England have Rooney, Argies have Messi but Spain have Torres & David Villa, then iniesta, xavi, xabi alonso, silva, mata and more. I really think they're gonna win it, plus I dont really want england to with terry, ferdinand and lampard in our team. they're all cocky bastards.

Nobody is talking about the Dutch. They're flying under the radar with one of the most talented teams they've had in decades. I could easily see them putting together a strong campaign.

And I bet Sven is excited to get some South African . Interesting what he'll be able to do with a talented Ivory Coast team, with only two months of planning left.

Huh? Do you mean Guus?

I don't buy the Holland talk anymore. The played by far the most spectacular football in the last EC and yet completely collapsed against the Russians. It's a mental thing, I don't think they've overcome it yet.
