Meh, just found out that is indeed Casillas' girlfriend. And I was thinking it was his first move because they were friends and he fancied her or something. Sure, it's still cute but not as cute as it seemed to be at first. | Aw I thought he just had balls and kissed a fine reporter because he just won the world cup. |

Whats the big deal for the Spaniards to concede and confess that Spain played boring but effective football. Oh yeah it's called maturity which you morons lack off.
In 2002 when Germany reached the finals, they played some boring ass football, and I wasn't ashamed to say so, they had barely anyone decent in front, Khan saved everything thrown at him... but Spain 2010 has excellent forwards, or it seems, and can't net more than a goal a game lol...

take off your pink biased glasses, imagine its fuking italy and holland playing this one, don't tell me it was an entertaining game to watch. |
Technically, it was a horrible, dirty game. Both the Dutch squad and the referee are the culprits. Nigel de Jong should have been sent off in the first half for that karate kick to Xabi Alonso's chest. Van Bommel should have been sent off too.
Right from the start, the Dutch strategy seemed to be to chop the Spanish players' legs off and then send long range passes to Robben, who would then procede to chase after the ball and complain to the referee if/when he lost the ball. That strategy worked twice, and could have won them the Cup but Robben proved once again that he's a one trick pony and bottled both of his clear chances on goal. Had one of them went in, Netherlands probably would have gotten away with it and it would have been a massive injustice.
On the other hand, Spain is a team that has the best creative midfielders in the world and whose strength lies in maintaining possession by passing the ball back and forth until an opening is created. Their mentality is to always be on offense, to constantly look for the opposing goal, not to defend their own. Your comparison to the Italian style of play is one the stupidest things I've ever heard. You know who played like Italy? Germany did, against Spain. You're either butthurt that Germany didn't win the Cup or you simply know -all about football. |

I think Spain deserved to win this final , they proposed a better offense than Holland and was way more decisive than their former games which I thought they were boring as hell always playing to the sides and waiting for the other team to make a mistake , this last game they completely changed that attitude and decided to make this game theirs .
Also "del bosque" made a great substitute change by including Fabregas in the second half . I think that was the key .
Spain without their main star ( torres ) in shape throughout the whole tournament showed the world today that spanish Football is amongst the 5 strongest football powerhouses in the world and it will probably remain like that in the next years to come .
Congrats Spain . ;) |

And if it was 100 years earlier than that, it might actually coincide with the World Cup in Brazil. :p |

| Ironically, a plane ticket to Brazil is more expensive than a ticket to Europe. |
