| De Rossi looks like a ing idiot with that beard. And Italy were every bit as rubbish as I predicted back at the start of this thread. Lucky to earn a point against a Paraguay side missing its best players. |

Yes, I remember there was a flash animation doing the rounds during the last world cup but I can't find it right now. |

I feel people that respect others enough to not interrupt their chance to watch something they enjoy in peace (and probably spent money and gas on to go to) are superior, yes.
Same way I feel Americans that can drink and root on their team while kindly jesting opponents are superior than those that throw punches and throw beer at people.
You disagree? |
I disagree, starting with the analogy. Unless some intrepid vuvuzela blowers start knocking each other unconscious like the oh so civilised hoolingans from Europe used to do, then yeah, I'd liken them to the unpleasant beer drinkers that throw whatever they can at innocent bystanders.
However, football stadiums have never been silent. Throughout the game there's a constant flux of chants, whistling, and even the occasional brass band. I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about supporters screaming IN-GER-LAND from the top of their lungs, for example, nor is there a ban on trombones and snare drums.
Football fans have always been a noisy bunch. |

| See, that is exactly why I hate the vuvuzelas. Not only are they annoying as , they also deprive us of the cool chanting and drumming. :p |

I think its stupid and annoying, but so are draws. Besides, what purpose does it server? People who chant or cheer for their team makes sense. Blowing an off key horn incessantly no matter what is happening on the field is stupid. God bless Afrikaners. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa |

Hey, you can still listen to the chanting and the drumming on top of the constant drone of the vuvuzelas :p
I know I can :conf: |

Isn't it like drumming? It's not like they're playing the national anthem of the team they're supporting :p |
