yeah i know that, but that doesn't mean the players wouldn't get a little overconfident, it's why at half time i was hoping van marwijk could bring them back to earth...
i dont know if it was the victory against brazil, but they were just playing sloppy compared to any of their other games at this cup, even just passing and stuff... was suprising cause their technical side is usually almost flawless!

No, not really. I had a meeting with my advisor, but she couldn't make it. Because I had pulled an all-nighter, I rejoiced and decided to take a nap - which overlapped with the time of the match :( |

Whatever, man. It's really annoying to have an argument with someone who thinks he's always right and consistently fails to grasp the point.
Brazil sucked this year, it was destined to happen and the fact that it's your opinion that the 90' squad was worse then this one doesn't change absolutely anything. They're out of the tournament by playing horribly, you said they were going to win and they didn't. End of argument. |

Why is it that this world cup has attracted so much attention whoredom?
So, Larissa Riquelme is taking her clothes off irregardless of the performance of the Paraguayan squad (yes, she showed that much disregard). Maradona threatened to streak around Buenos Aires if Argentina won the Cup. Now apparently a porn actress is going to give blowjobs to all her followers on Twitter if the Dutchlanders get the trophy.

Well that's how predictions go don't they? In sport they are random and unpredictable and upsets of course do happen. Brazil didn't play bad they just happened to have a few lucky setbacks against the Netherlands and if the Dutch do go on and indeed win the world cup I'd say losing to the world cup champions 2-1 isn't too shabby when the whole tournament they've been playing pretty good.

I'm in two minds about tomorrows game. On one hand, I tipped Germany to win it after seeing their first match and wouldn't mind at all if they did. They have a fantastic squad that's young and will be even better next time.
On the other hand, I've considered Spain to be the front runner since before the tournament started and if they win, it means we get a brand new world champion. Both of which are deserving winners. Hmmmmmmmm..... |

As in, you've run out of argument. It's pretty obvious that you've backtracked severely from your original assertion to the much safer ground of "I didn't think Brazil would win". Granted, I've already admitted I was wrong with my prediction multiple times, including when I made it. So yeah, I've a real hard ing time admitting when I'm wrong, you clown.
The reason I'm arguing is for a point which you have willfully failed to grasp: there is a difference between getting a tournament prediction right and pissing over a team's reputation. You've basically come down to "Brazil sucked, they played horribly, PLEASE STOP ARGUING" without any examples of what they did on the pitch, any reference to the reasons they won or lost, instead clinging desperately to the fact you successfully predicted a quarter final exit, even though that piece of "proof" has been thoroughly trashed.
I also imagine there's an element of bitterness in calling Maicon, Cesar and Lucio "nobodies" who have no experience and don't play for top clubs. |
