Netherlands outplayed Brasil and deservedly won. |
+1
Had Brazil not started to get all ****y in the second half and kept their together, they would have had a better chance. They lost their heads and flow and didn't play well at all. The NL keeper made some solid saves to keep them in the game though
NL was ****y as well in response (Sneijder patting Melo on the head after his sending off etc). I had visions of it turning into an NL / Portugal repeat of Euro 2008!!
Why wasn't Ronaldinho on the team this year?
Robben needs to learn another move. His cut in from the right wing and shoot thing is getting tired and easy to shut down. He also stares at the ground when he's doing it and loses visibility of other open players (and gets fixated on taking the shot). When it works, it's great, but it just seems like he's a one trick pony most of the time |

Ahh, ok, I lost track of him once he was dealt away from Barca. Thought he was hurt or something. Didn't know he was having a crap run of seasons lately |

You're an expert at massively under-rating good teams, aren't you? |
As I said to this earlier, I saw weakness there, on the left side of defence and it happened that both goals came from that region, the defender I mentioned should've been sent off before he was subbed and to top it off, the brazilians lacked temperament and attitude. Holland were the first team to test them properly and they lost it on all counts. Underrating? Perhaps, but I knew they were beatable ;) |
