ok. my summary
Holland didn't try to play enough. The game involves kicking a ball, not kicking spanish players and Van Bommel & others could easily have gone. Robben too, both would've been for dissent too, stupid idiot really. They lost their nerve and didn't do themselves justice. Spain struggled to break down such a wall and as usual won 1-0. Del Bosque made many mistakes in this tournament, not using proper width being a big one and playing too many holding midfielders, but in the end he'll feel justified, but the side wasn't as good in flair as the one with Silva, Cazorla and co from 2 years ago. Esp as Capdevilla is losing his legs which meant his overlapping runs have stopped in frequency.
He is also incapable of changing things bigtime, he should've used Llorente a lot more and he'd always swap villa for another instead of using an extra one, esp when it was level. But nobody will remember it. Congratulations to Spain & sadly it's come that twice spanish footballers have died & that season spain have gone onto win major tournaments. Another classy classy move from Sergio Ramos with the Dani Jarque t-shirt to match the Antonio Puerta one from 2008. Siempre Con Nostrosos, Senor. |

That wasn't just the most disappointing world cup final I've ever seen, but probably the single most disappointing game I've ever watched. Absolute rubbish. There was only one team to blame for that and it was the dutch, their tactics were a disgrace. De jong's fly kick was a straight red all day long. And mark Van bommel, there aren't many players I hate in world football (not even rangers players) but he is certainly top of the short list. How he manages to last full games when all he does is kick the opposition amazes me. His tackling isn't just clumsy, it's dangerous and referee's (especially in this tournament) should have taken a much harder line with him..
anyway, the best international team to grace the field over the last 20 years have won the world cup, well done spain.. |
