It's precisely these discussions about "cheating" that convince me more that people that don't know about football should just off and go enjoy another sport or go watch sitcoms.
How the hell is that cheating? It was the only way to stop the opposing team from scoring and there are rules in place for situations like it. A red card is shown and a penalty kick is awarded. And that was exactly what happened. Had Gyan scored the penalty, nobody would be even discussing this.
This is cheating:
Henry handled the ball deliberately and then acted as if nothing happened.
This, on the other hand, is not.

Dude that's cheating, I can't even believe there's any room to argue it. LOL.
I was under the impression that a rule in football would automatically grant the goal in obvious situations like these.

If the ball had crossed the line they would have awarded the goal. Suarez is now suspended for, I believe, 3 or 4 games? In the event Uruguay beats Netherlands to advance to the final, he won't be allowed to play.
In any case, these are the rules. I can't believe all the upset people :stongue:
Suarez knows it was a scummy thing to do, we all know it was a scummy thing to do. But to just blatantly give Ghana the win based on that is ridiculous. It's not as if Urugay was horribly outplayed, Ghana had lots of chances to put this game away and just couldn't finish. Now they'll know what to work on in for the next campaign (if they can beat Egypt...which they wont :))

Now with Uruguay on the semis as the opponent, you'd be confident that they'll make it this time to the finals.
Playing for the 3rd place, that's for sure. I don't think they can beat the Netherlands.

Bro the ball was blatantly going in the goal!!! And that's awarding the goal, not the win,... Paragay would have had a minute left to save all.
Anyways, I know there's rules, but that's a blatant cheat, I can't imagine Paragays being proud of this guy.

Me neither. The Uruguayans, on the other hand, might feel something...

I might be wrong, and someone correct me if I am, but I think he would only miss the match against the Dutch.

Paragay certainly aren't, because they're playing tomorrow.
In Montevideo however they're probably building a statue of Suarez right now.
