really? these are two real teams, the USA did ok but they lost to a team who would've struggled to live with the two teams on todays showing. Our best chances are in 4 years time anyway when the great youth we have is regular in the team. |
The way England played this wc, my local kid league would run up a score on them. Rooney needs to.reconsider his tenure, what a zilch he has been. Sad, sad, sad. I wanted UK to succeed. now I'm left rooting for Mesi. |

Rooney's problem was simple. He was injured for Man Utd and Fergie played him with a broken foot or something days later against Munich. Since then he's not scored, he's looked unfit, and just poor. On form, he's good but he's been awful and it's down to that. |

| The BBC guys are being rightly brutal in their post-mortem of the match. |

it was pretty funny watching the england defence open up like the red sea whenever the germans make a run through centre of the pitch
england just isn't that good. capello can't sort out the defence because there isn't that much there. well, more like too much ego, not enough heart |

| Germany is the "new england patriots" equivalent - everyone but their fans hate them but damn they're good. |

that was a great game! I was rooting for Germany but I do feel that England had a CLEAR goal (if you see it in slow motion) and they should have counted that, PLAY FAIR!!
Now I'm scared for Mexico :nervous: *sniff* VAMOS MEXICO!!!1 |

I think this is the most likeable german side ever, first time I've found myself cheering for them at least! Flairy, creative football, with plenty of exciting players, that's very unlike classic Germany... |

wow james sucks. lol. ive never seen a goalie that afriad of a ball. Terry...where the was terry??? how could he have got caught ever rush?
but in all honesty if it were 2-2 going into half it would have been a different game. |

It's only an important element of the game because the rules allow it as an area to be exploited, as a professional sadly you have to do everything you can to benefit your team, however the game evidently was never thought of to be a test as to how good an actor you are, and the quicker this is stopped the better. |
Whats wrong with taking advantage of a situation ?...if you can trick 6 eyes on the field without getting caught then its fine in my book , not everyone can do it , if you do it you are putting yourself on a risk of a yellow or red card .
Every sport has its way around . |

To be fair, he's been outdone this tournament, the slovenian goalie hiding inside the goal afraid of Donovan's shot. :stongue: |
