really likely, but my call is:
7/2 - Uruguay > Ghana
7/2 -Netherlands > Brazil
7/3 - Argentina > Germany
7/3 - Spain > Paraguay
7/6 - Netherlands > Uruguay
7/7 - Argentina > Spain
7/11 - Netherlands > Argentina
alternately, argentina beats netherlands.. argentina and germany are the most in form imo, and i think ben's right that that game will be really decisive |
Holland is firmly 5th in line as a favourite out of those 8. I don't see any possibility of them winning it. |

damnit, when i originally quoted you i said i think you're prediction is most likely, but i would post a dream one, but then i edited it for brevity cause it turned into a rambling post (as my posts are wont to do) :)
i still think argentina will win, replace netherlands with brazil MOST LIKELY :)
edit: i don't really put much stock in favourites anyway, from what i've seen i think they stand a chance, in that they are solid as, have played some good teams (not brazil standard of course) and held their own extremely well: They havn't played agressively, mostly because their main forward men have been off, or in poor form, but i really don't think they've even been tested (always comfortable wins, no goals scored against them except through penalties), and they'll show what they've really got against brazil... not saying they'll win, but i'll be really suprised if it's not close... |

So, Larissa Riquelme is saying that if Paraguay beats Spain she'll strip - lol. How this becomes news is beyond me.

this story
says she's doing it only because the reporter asked her if she would match maradona's promises if Argentina wins the WC.

At this point I really don't know who has the best chance of winning the cup. We need a very good day and some luck Friday.
Saw an interview with Dirk Kuyt yesterday, instead of getting tired it seems he's getting more and more energy. For sure he's a diesel, he just doesn't stop running till the last second of the game....
Hope Brazil makes them play better, but it could also be that both again won't play like we expect them to.
Still my 2-1 prediction for Brazil probably is the most realistic one. Not a shame to get send home by Brazil IMO.
Indeed, many thought the defense was the weakest point in our team, but facts don't show this at all. We don't have a killer like Jaap Stam any more, but on the other hand what Stekelenburg did last game is pretty close to van der Sar, ing amazing saves. |
