ing van persie is draining me... 3 attempts missed by a mile now..
Put on Elia, and the elia-robben combo would see at least another goal imo!! |

| Wait...did the goalie just pull off that save using his nose? Because thats what it looked at from here. |

, that was an epic save :wtf: Slovakia is really pushing hard now.
EDIT: Ah man, 2-0 thats it or Slovakia then, was hoping they would eqalise and at least take the game into overtime. |

pretty slow game, robben and van persie will really have to stand up to take on brazil or chile on friday...
commentators keep sooking about holland not putting on a good enough performance. They've only given up 2 goals in the tournament, have won something like 23 games in a row in international meetings, and constantly have possesion.
wtf, just cause they don't do tricks they aren't good?? :conf: |

maybe you should read the rule book.
http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/aff...ofthegameen.pdf
page 30 of the rulebook.
I think its widely excepted that it was actually not a goal.
nonetheless, as i have stated before. Its a moot point as they ended up scoring a 4th goal. |
Really....and do tell me when that rule was defined ;)
If you want the exacts, the ball was 16cm wide, and in 1995 the oxford study showed it was 6cm from being fully past the line. So you're right, by modern rules it was not a goal, but in those days the ruling of a goal was open to the refs decision and interpretation of the rules, and he said it was a goal so it was. |

That's good for Holland, isn't it? The Deutschlanders won a bunch of titles and the Netherlanders never got anything. If they switch positions, then there's a very good chance de Oranje will reach the finals! |
