The US does have a good team with young and talented players. I wouldn't be surprised if they advance to the second round.

The Brazilian coach said the guy didn't bother to show up for practice and that he couldn't count on him.

He's never been a regular under Dunga. I personally think the squad is light on strikers. The first choice pairing is Fabiano and Robinho, but beyond that you've only got Grafite and Nilmar. I'd have called up Pato, but Dunga doesn't seem to like him. He seems to ignore club form and pick players who have worked well in his system. Fair enough, but I don't know why he keeps picking Ramirez. The guy is ing useless.
Also, surprise omissions in Argetina's squad too: no Cambiasso, Zanetti, Gabbi Milito or Lucho Gonzalez. Maradona is an idiot.
BTW very hapy to see Englands victory over mexico , it should happen against USA as well :)

It might, but doesn't England choke every time that it matters? :p
I pretty much think that the game is going to be 2-2 and England is going to win in PKs.

There are no PKs in the group stage, so that's not going to happen. The last few times England have played the US we've comfortably beaten you, and if it doesn't happen again I'll be amazed.

I always forget no PKs in group stage. I dunno why either.
As for England winning, I pretty much expect it, but the U.S. has been playing quite well as of late. So we will see.

It's because draws are okay in the group stage, but penalty kicks are needed in the knock-out stage because one of the teams has to be, well, knocked out :p

Don't forget we only choke when it REALLY matters. There's no way we should choke in the opening stages, as we have to fail on a far bigger platform.
Having said that, I think this is probably the chance and team we've had in 40 years.
