| I never understood why games are allowed to end in a tie. What's the point of a game without a winner? I could see some justification for regular season games but not a tournament. |

I'm doing fine, since I have guessed the winner (or draws) correctly, but I haven't guessed any exact score yet. I came close with the Korea - Greece game but they just had to go on and score another goal. :mad:
Korea played well and outplayed Greece in pretty much everything. Those days where they got thrashed are now long gone. |

Because unlike sports in the USA, it's based on points, not on wins vs losses. Only the first round anyways, since there has to be a winner from the 2nd round forwards. |

I know of the points system, and I still thinks it doesn't make sense. How about the people who go to the game. We kicked your ass. Woo Hoo zero to zero. Can you believe no one scored for the entire game. How cool is that? :conf: |

Draws are important, Pete. They show (in the group stage) that both teams are equally strong against one another, and that the tie breaker should be the result of the other matches.
I wouldn't mind paying some money to see a tie, personally, as long as it was an interesting game to watch. |
