& Atleast where I am from, the majority were for the Dutch. Also, the stadium had more fans for the Dutch than Spanish. |

They played badly because they were playing Spain, you ever think about that? They dominated possession in every game this WC, what made you think it'd be any different against the Netherlands? Iniesta, Fabregas, Xavi, Alonso, Bousquets, Pedro, these guys are just world class midfielders. |

Damn it!
For 30 years, the Dutch been known for its sexy way of playing, and sadly not winning. After this final, we won't be known for that, but we will be for the aggressiveness and fierce tackles, however still not winning.
I like players who are playing on the edge, like van Bommel (when he's not tackling or provoking, he's actually still pretty darn good), but I don't approve of his and De Jong's tackles and flying kicks. I don't know what it was, but it looked like all of the Dutch players were struck by nervousness. It never became a real match, not from Spanish side either. It's a given that finals aren't the best matches most of the time, and neither Spain nor Holland got around to the playmaking that they are known for.
I also hated to see that most of the players were that angry at the ref, but they had somewhat of a point. Instead of giving a clear corner kick after Sneijder's free kick, the ref gave a goal kick, which led to the goal.
Also, damn you Robben! First of all, you should've scored! Secondly, you dive every freaking time, but the one time you're actually allowed to go down, you don't!

I heard people of the US bought most tickets for games at the WC. Even more that country number 2 and 3 together. |

of course, Americans have more disposable income than almost anywhere else.
And you have Americans for all sorts of backgrounds, FIFA knows where's the money at... they should focus on that ;) |
