n00b question about the Great Britain. so if Scotland, Wales, and England are considered "countries" of the Great Britain, what do you call Great Britain? :conf: i always considered the whole of Great Britain as a country itself, and the Scotland, Wales, and England "subcountries" ? Do you call Great Britain a country too? |
Well not really, but we do compete at the Olympics and World Athletics Championships as Great Britain & Northern Ireland. However, when the Commonwealth Games come around, we split up into separate 'countries' again.
The United Kingdom being Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, which is just another puzzler.
I'm not really sure to be honest. |
