good plan...get it as short as possible, 'cuz otherwise, it'll be yanking &...yeah, no fun.
Get a brand new razor, too. A pivoting head is a must. |
Absolutely - I have a brand new blade, and I'm rocking a Mach 3 Turbo - the only question now is, power on, or off?
:nervous:
Also, I pretty much assume that shaving towards to conical like tip at the back of my head is the best route, no?
:conf:
Thanks for helping me shave, guys! :gsmile: |

| power off to begin with. if you find it's not doing well you can always add it, but i found it weird to control when it's buzzing around... and yeah, read one of my earliers about directions :p |

New razor = cleanest shave but also = more nicks and cuts.
Good luck on your shaving RJ :) |

Thanks Ian - I'll go no power at first, but if I feel I'm not getting the power I need, I'll rev it up! :p |

| I've never tried one of those powered things...doesn't seem like a good idea, though, 'cuz the skin on your head is pretty sensitive at first. I didn't get any nicks or cuts the first time, but a lot of irritation. I'd say go with the grain the first time...away from the point on the back of your head, then against it once your skin firms up a bit. Just be sure not to go a bunch of different ways right over that spot, 'cuz it's really easy to start making strokes starting there that all just irritate it, 'cuz you're going to different parts of your head. |

Well, I've got the feeling that I'm going to be a bit irritated/ up a bit just because it's the first time - but I'm confident. :) |

My technique is to shave up on the sides, and starting at the front, shaving all the way back to the point bit (what the is it really called? :wtf: )
And it feels ing weird afterwards. Your head is smooth, but still kind of 'grips' clothes and stuff. Its hard to describe.
Good though :D |

yeah, wearing hats sucks. It's like they become magnetized. |

| the "power" thing has actually been proven to have no effect on the act of shaving. |
