Well... yes. Though, to be fair, Ian probably just woke up, and I'm about to order Thai food for dinner :p
Edit: I think Alaska is one of THE MOST behind areas in the world, when compared to Australian time. It's 7:42pm here mate - At what point in time are you living in? |
Well considering it is 201a (AKDT) and I am just looking at your reply (thank you Kendal Jackson Wine) - we are about (insert # of hours behind you).
Stu... I should know this as my sister lives in NSW... but I am ripped after getting off of 50 hours of 10p to 8a shiftwork.
Thai sounds good... but I just killed a pizza and 1.7 bottles of wine over the last 4 hours.
BTW... did you see the Nikon d90 specs?!??? HD Video.... .. That + Tele lens = orgasm in the making!

lol. My brother is in GMT-7 which is a up when trying to call him at the weekend, I keep waking him up at 8am cos thats my 3pm and it seems 'late enough' to me :p
And as the esteemed gentleman from above mentions, aussies & brits have that kinda thing, i'll get up & eat breakfast & be posting with them waiting for dinner. And now they're in bed and I have the canadians & americans for company...
On the food note. Just been into the city & popped to m&s food for a couple of delicacies & found a new 'rainbow stir fry' which is bok choi, chinese cabbage, carrots, tenderstem brocolli, spring onions, some sort of peas I think and something I forget. About to do it cos I've not had any lunch yet & breakfast was a rush because from awake to out of the house was 1 hour :p |

| PS. just some saw asian kid, I'd say Bangladeshi/North Indian/Pakistani or something like that try to take apart a desktop pc in the middle of currys to try & snatch components whilst this woman in a burka type head thing was sitting in the car outside with the engine running. He kept running in & out, obviously finding out if the parts he was trying to get were compatible :haha: :haha: :haha: |

720p is NOT HD. 1080p is. I hate this whole marketing bull of 720p being HD. It is HIGHER def than regular TVs but DVDs are mostly done in 720p. |

I am getting really ing frustrated right now. I took a job (i.e. contract signed) that is technically budgeted for FY 2009, which begins 01 October 08, but was told basically at the initial interview that I'd be hired on early in the capacity of a temporary position so that I wouldn't have to wait until October to work.
It seems like every day for the past two and a half weeks I've gotten the "hold tight, we'll get back to you tomorrow - lots of stuff going on right now", but in truth, I've got a fairly strong feeling that they just don't have any incentive to get me in soon as they know they already have me for October, and I don't really see any reason for them to start cutting me a paycheck any earlier than they have to.
I'd basically give just about anything to start working soon. :( |

I guess, but I've already had a month off (I taught my last class on July 19th), and I'm really, really broke. Add to that the fact that bills are coming due as well as student loan payments, and I just don't really feel like "getting by" until October. I don't really have the financial means to do as I want, so I've basically been biking anywhere from 10-50 miles each day, cleaning the house obsessively, and playing with my cat.
I don't know. I just feel useless, and that is a feeling to have.

What's the point? I spend a week or two trying to find something, work it for a week, and get a paycheck a month later?
No thanks.
I'd pick up some hours for my uncle if the company I'm supposed to start for didn't keep asking me to "keep my schedule clear - we'll bring you in in a day or two."
