I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really hate sitting down and recording a proper demo to hand to promoters. That's four attempts at recording now, and the only good one is the first but there are still some shady spots.

Possibly. It'll be after this makes the round with some of the local folk, though. |

Worry not, most of your slang has invaded Australia :p
Ours, on the other hand, generally confuses people, no matter where they're from haha. |

I'm skeptical, to say the least.
"Squizz (noun) : look - "take a squizz at this'"
Man, if someone told me to take a squizz at something, I'd probably pee on their shoe. Although I bet you would pronounce it like we pronounce "squeeze". :stongue:
Australia-talk is so different from regular talk. |

I thought you said Danny D and I was going to say " LOL..." but ya.. Danny T is crazy. |
I'm on hour 3 and my back hurts, I need to sit down more often and I have no clue what I'm going to play next.
I'm recording this set so I'm going to have a good laugh when I relisten to this set later |

Oh god, I seriously hope you don't think we all talk like that all the time.
That kind of lingo is 'mostly' from the previous generation(s), and roughly speaking, the only people that talk like that are, well, tradesmen, and similar folks. Blue collar, if you will. Nothing wrong with that, but they talk funny.
That said, I went through quite a bit of the definitions on that site you posted, and knew nearly all of them.
Lol.
Doh. |
