I've talked to them about it twice now in person, and each time has been like talking to a brick wall.
The first time I went and complained, I think it was about 9 on a Saturday morning (which wasn't so bad in itself), but the dog barking had woke me up around 7:30 or 8, and then continued uninterrupted for the next hour and a half.
I walked (in my pajamas) to their house, had to ring the doorbell three times, and finally the woman who lives there comes to the door:
Woman: Yes?
RJT: Can you please bring your dog inside?
Woman: Why?
RJT: Do you not hear him barking?
Woman: Dogs bark.
RJT: It's been going on for an hour and a half.
Woman: Oh.
She didn't apologize at all, and she just called the dog in the house. He was back out there an hour or two later.
Basically, complaints have been an exercise in futility, and I'm fairly sure that any call to the police is going to wind up in Animal Control being called in the end.
Just seems to be a lose-lose situation. |
do they have kids? it sounds like someone wanted a dog but they don't want to deal with it properly, but it appeases the kids or something. |
