not necessarily. I have slight intollerances to wheat & gluten. nothing like coeliac but it sitll upsets my stomach. Because I get worse when eating rice, fish or pasta, I tend to stick to the stuff i can eat but makes me less sick. My basic diet atm is for most days
breakfast - cereal, milk, tea (decaf)
lunch - salad (chinese leaves, lettuces, tomatoes, cucumber, pepper, raddish, beetroot, carrot, mushrooms, boiled egg, (cold meats - chicken, beef, ham)
dinner (5 days out of 7)
Chicken - either grilled (brushed with olive oil) Poached or Baked.
4 vegetables from leeks, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, sweetcorn, peas & green beans
other alternatives
pork fagg0ts (meatballs in sauce)
burgers (home made with extra lean mince steak, onions & herbs)
sausage, egg & gammon (low salt gammon steak, poached egg, grilled sausage)
sunday dinner, which is again basically a meat, but often lamb, beef or pork instead of chicken, with 3-5 vegetables
to drink
(cut down on soda/pop now) - mostly no added sugar juices in water, tea or coffee both decaf
And still my guts hate me :( I've cut out nearly all bread to help, but still doesn't do a lot for me. Quite bad with fish, potatoes, rice, pasta, dairy |
