Yesterday, in my last class of the day, before the lecture started, this guy (who was working on somesort of social study) came in and asked us to fill in a small questionnaire to help gather data for his research.
I received a paper with a small paragraph asking me to think of a situation where I had been unfairly rude, forceful and aggressive toward someone who didn't deserve it, and to write a short essay describing it. I honestly couldn't think of any experience remotely ressembling that, so I left the paper blank and handed it in as such. We passed the papers to our right so they'd be picked up at the end of the row. This nice girl sitting next to me took a short glance at my paper as it passed her and noticed that it was completely blank. She gave me a puzzled look, to which I shrugged and casually commented; "I just couldn't think of anything", following with a subtle smile. Her guise immediately changed. She seemed disgusted, disturbed and somewhat surprised. She made a conscious effort to avoid looking at me for the rest of that class.
Later, I found out that they randomly handed out two different variations of the questionnaire, the other version asked you to describe a situation where you felt you had been fair, just, and refrained from taking advantage of a vulnerable person despite having had the opportunity.
