Meh. I didn't bring the thread back to life, and it isn't like it's the last time someone is going to wind up in a pissing match with emc^2.
Par, course, etc. Either way, I'm sure I am as tired of it as the lot of you. |

It wouldn't have bothered me, if you actually turned it around to be a more intelligent thread, but you continued the fire. 5 pages of fanning the flames is just a bit annoying is all. I enjoy most of your posts otherwise. And I like his posts too most of the time. It's just those threads that really annoy the out of me. |

ahh cool! Sounds very interesting and intriguing. Is that all you have done, or have you researched other things also? |

I just don't like any plan that retools what I think is a failed system.
We can tax gas for vehicles that consume unnecessary amounts of fuel, but if we continue to rely on a system that absolutely requires petroleum as our main energy source we'll still inevitably wind up at a point where we either see significantly dwindling natural resources (which some would say we are already) or we absolutely massacre the environment (I don't think there's nearly as much to debate about greenhouse gases as I think you might).
Continued reliance on fossil fuels (to the points we are right now) may make things a bit financially easier for the time being (as opposed to the massive amounts of money the public would have to invest in renewable energy programs), but it still just seems like procrastinating on a much larger and important issue that we'll still have to deal with eventually.

You're also welcome to read Xanax, Bobby, and Craig's posts in that thread, which pretty well dealt with the fact that there wasn't any argument to be had prior to their participation.
And it was a thread began for the sake of flaming, a.) what did you expect? b.) why not just have it closed sooner?
:conf: |

I did see those posts. I read them too, but kind of too little too late before it got closed. I didn't even ask for it to be closed. I was making a post and when I tried to post it said it was closed. lol And I don't "expect" anything from most threads really. Just mindless banter, but not total outright pages of flaming. |
