the bad news is: my laptop broke. my backlight led burnt out on me. :(
the good news is: it's still under manufacturer's warranty, so i don't have to pay anything to get it fixed.
the bad news is: it's going to take 7 to 10 business days for the whole process to finish, so i could be out of a laptop for 2 weeks. sent my laptop in on monday.
the good news is: i received notification from the company on tuesday saying it was fixed, stating it wasn't my backlight led, but a loose connector.
the bad news is: when i received it today(missed the delivery guy yesterday and today), my display was super bright, and i tuned my laptop brightness down to 1, and it was still super bright. i thought it broke again
the good news is: i went through the system settings, and found out the techs set my brigtness and contrast system settings to max before sending it to me. it took me about 10 minutes to find the buttons and levers, because the brightness blended with my mouse cursor and dialog background color. :(
oh well. at least i got my laptop back to normal today. now to reload all the stuff i had on my laptop before i sent it in ........ :( |
