$1500, just over a year with this bank.
It was $500 limit when I began, but yeah - the bank really didn't want me to keep lowering it every time they raised it, so once I got a better APR/0% APR for a year offer on a new card from my bank, they basically said "No more lowering your limit, - just keep having self control."

Lowering your credit limit actually has worse implications. Them seeing that you have a 10k limit on your card and have never gone over say, 1500 at any given time, helps your score a TON. So, take the limit increases as much as you can get them. Just as they said, keep having self control. You obviously haven't had it long enough to have that high of a limit, but yeah. Seeing that you are approaching 30, you need to have some serious credit asap. Also, every 6 months call and see if they will adjust your credit limit higher. Keep doing this till they don't anymore lol. |
