i highly doubt a firefighter would be able to intubate someone for instance, my understanding is they can only provide first aid in the case of an emergency. So things like CPR ect. |
I don't know how EMTs are trained there, but here they are the guys on the ambulance. And since most firefighters in the US are EMTs and can intubate, that the firefighter could do either.
edit//I guess the proper term would be a paramedic. |
