You know what really pisses me off? When people don’t take responsibility for their actions, or when people can’t admit to ing up. It’s like what’s the big deal? People actually respond in a more positive way when you just admit fault and say, “Sorry, my mistake, it won’t happen again”. It actually leaves people dumbfounded sometimes, because it seems like EVERYONE always makes excuses or passes the blame along to someone else and people just expect you to do this, but when you just apologize and say, “How can we fix this”, they’re like, “HUH?”
Especially over petty like forgetting to fax something to someone. It seems like most people would automatically be like, “I DID fax it, your fax machine must be broken, but I’ll fax it again now”.
WHY? Why can’t you just say, “Oh crap, you know what? I completely forgot, I’m so sorry, I’m faxing it right now”
