Here is my last WIP which was called English Boys but it's taken a light hearted turn.
Does it need an 'epic' synth passage at the end (where the track currently ends)?
|
It's need a good frequency filling pad, because the synth lines aren't carrying it enough I think.
Here is something I found on my old computer, started working on it again.

I think this is awesome. This has some of the best sound design I have heard on one of your tracks and is very current sounding, while still being original and unique. |

Good melo and playing, what piano are you using, sounds great? |
I am not actually playing it, I wrote it in FL Studio and made a lot of changes to the velocities of the notes to give it a natural playing feel. The piano is a freeware VST called Piano One, with some reverb and compression. |

This would make a good track you should work on it. If not, send me the midi :haha:

I might make it into an EDM track in the future, but I have other projects at the moment. I sent you a message about the midi. |

From the off this got me nodding. That kick and perc are fantastic but I feel the track looses this special interplay as soon as the bass comes in.
Personally speaking I'd go back to just those first few seconds and build a simple rhythmic track around that part.
Thanks for commenting on mine - the original had shed loads of synths and melodies but I removed them because I wanted a very clean impact sound at full volume, so I ended up with whats here now.
You have prompted me to make those leads a bit more interesting and special though cos I know they are kinda basic sounding but I wont make the changes unless it comes out clean and loud at full volume.
Thanks to evo and trancelover for you feedback.
I'm so critical that I already think it's not good enough but I will finish this one. |

I really like this - especially the sub bass, but it seems very, very dry. There's almost too much room!
This is a remix I started working on that I'm pretty happy with. It's almost done. It's an attempt at kind of fusing the aggressive chopped & screwed kind of electro that I like with the big room sound. I'm probably gonna work on the growl sound that starts the phrase in the drop to make it more dynamic.

| TThere's the grittyness I've always been looking for in the Seandroid tracks I heard earlier. Well done! |

this is really good.....until the drop and the whole track changes mood into something else
it has a nice dark feel but i wouldnt go with the onbeat snares after the break, id be tempted to return to how the track was before the drop, maybe add some heavier noisy hats/rides or some sort of extra perc, taking care not to go too muddy
good job, my 2c... |

wouldnt be into this style at all but anyway, sounds a bit narrow to me?? not much width to my ears
also the snare isnt really having much impact for me, actually the whole drums need to come up i think - bit light on bass too |
