yeah not bad, its missing something for me, maybe in the kick/bass area - it sounds a bit flat there or something, i think a punchier style kick would work better - something with more midrange |
I was thinking the same thing in areas. To me, it sounds sort of disconjointed.
The repetitiveness of the track is ok but the transitions of arrangement lend it sounding the same.
Possibly some sustaining mid frequency tones or at least some atmosphere. |

what books are good for learning to master? as im horrible at it :happy2: |
Pretty cool track man =O)
For me, the percussion intro is to long without really much changing at the beginning. However, that flam at the 50 sec. mark is awesome add and carries the percussion.
Like the vocal delay alot but the transitions need some adjusting as the are quite evident when they appear.
Around the 4:00 mark I was listening and wanting some higher frequency and then you passed it and it came...nice job.
I think you need some sub in there somewhere, but that's just me.
Nice work =O) |

i like ur track but on my setup the kick is very muddy (50 second mark) and hard to hear (2x 18"Cab units on 1k rack amp) but it might just be me!
il set about making changes tomorra! |

If you can afford it get Valhalla Room for reverb. Sounds fantastic and is extremely versatile. Pretty much covers all bases as far as reverb is concerned, IMO. There is a demo version available so you can listen for yourself. Reason I love it is because it sounds extremely natural, it just blends into the track perfectly.
For delay there are plenty of free plugins out there that will do the job just fine, but Ableton should come with one I would think. |

Quite a catchy quirky melodic line you got goin on.
Mix wise, for me it's a bit fried egg sizzling on the hi's, but others might like that. |

This is a good track all round mate, really enjoyed it as it washes over me. I don't find the bass too thin, I like this sort of more unusual bass line and sound.
Nice to hear a track that does not rely on glitch and mangled stutter leads which are just everywhere now. |

I'd say the odd little picky bell type melody here n there to round it off maybe?
I got sick of having so many WIPs hanging around so I'm in a new phase of finishing tracks properly and doing one at a time. I'll post something up at some point. |

Thanks All! Appreciate the feedback.
Evo, the arp DOES return =OP
And Richard...you are correct, those highs are to high. These monitors have such a huge bass reflex and so I found myself trying to balance the bass but after listening in my car...I have to agree. |
