Everything sounds great, I love how your tracks sound overall JP, you just need some good chords and melody to really drive home your tracks. |
Agree on that, all your tracks have a nice atmosphere, beats and bass but they are missing a good melody / rhythmic progression to really drive them home. |

Will try my hardest on the melody that can really shine on the track and drive it full on. Thanks again guys. |

Look into utilizing rhythmic progressions of backing pads/bassline more to to support your melody when you want to make it count. Can really give emphasis to an area of a track when you drop the progression.

| Nice, I'm liking that clip Mr. Oakenshield. The kick has a nice thump to it and overall you have a good mix down. |

I like it too. At 4:00 I can REALLY hear the vocal start to fade in though. |

Satisfactory mix, might want to work on the transitions in the parts where the drums drop out. You can even see in the waveform it looks super sudden. The synths are good, but in the breakdown along with the hipassing you might want to consider some delay automation to give it more space and atmosphere, sort of dry at the moment. The drum build at the end of the break is a little jarring, the weird timing kind of throws me off, I would try putting the timing totally quantized and double the length of the build up and maybe at a reverse crash along with the snare buildup.
It has a nice classic trance feel though. The arrangement towards the end is kinda out of whack though, you might want to consider consolidating those little mini breaks into one 2nd whole break and focus on the buildup and drop release. Other than that the mixing and sound selection is pretty spot on, good work. If the arrangement was on par with everything else it would be a nice pro track. |

thanx people i have not been producing long so im muddling along with things.
il go back to it Monday as weekend is football time :)
il work on my transitions but im learning as i go i know what i want to do but i dont have the skills to do it yet but i will get it right soon enough.
maybe i should add 16 bars to the main drop to build down then break for the second time but keeping the baseline in and some of the perc.
then have only 1 mini drop to go into the transition for outro sound about right?
some reverb on the drums for the main break down while cutting the low on the kick and fade out.
i do use delay on the vox on the drop but this is where i need to improve |

transitions can be tricky, a simple way of doing is to take your drum sounds at the end of a measure or right before the percussion drops out, one of the simplest yet effective transitions are using drums. sometimes it can be something as simple as a nice, short drum fill, or using them to build up a whole bar for tension.
try taking one of the synths in your track, and draw a note in the key of the track, give it a nice release so it kind of slowly fades out. export the audio for this and reverse it, you'll see the waveform look like it's winding up, combing that with reverse crashes and stuff like that can do the job pretty well.
as for the outro, don't get side tracked worrying about that much. it just needs to be easy for a DJ to mix out of. same with the intro. they're parts of the track that people will hear the least. also, try beginning the track with full drums (maybe without the clap/snare).
the lead acid thing could do with some pad to compliment it in parts, and would also give you a chance to expand on the melodic and harmonic aspect of the track.
as for having the skills, if you can produce at this level then you have the skills to do transitions. technically speaking it's not difficult, the actual challenge is doing it in a way that is tasteful, simple and aesthetically pleasing.
one other piece of advise is to try and place something unique in the track to make it stand out as your own. right now it's not really exploring anything too original or unique. figure out a way to make it sound like "you" |

yeah not bad, its missing something for me, maybe in the kick/bass area - it sounds a bit flat there or something, i think a punchier style kick would work better - something with more midrange |
