Really liking this one and very good sound choices, keep it up
Evo are the drums better now?
I was using loops a bit lately but they keep sounding dated, so just did these drums myself from scratch.

yeah the drums stand out big time! very punchy, its very DnB style |

Paul, this one is really smooth ride man, like your arrangement, sound selection, levels and overall atmosphere ;) - there is only one think which distracting me from fully embrace this track (my personal take or preference) "your kick" and I can't suggest which one would work better (in my view) but this one doesn't do justice for this production.
Only my $0.02

Nice and oldschool sound. Really smooth. I've got to agree with Darek on the kick, try and find one less boomy and you're there. |

I agree about the kick evo. Other then that it sounds clean. You really got alot of tracks going in this thread, what do you do with them? It would be nice to hear the end product and not just snippets.
This is an old track I've been working on lately. My motivation has dried up, but I tried to finish this peace that have lain around for years. I don't know how many hours I have listened to this now, I have lost all sense of judgement about it. Is it worth anything, or have I been polishing a turd? Or maybe just been ting on a turd?

It has potential, but there are some objective errors which could massively improve it. As a start I'd lower that sort of a bass an octave down. And remove that low layer you got going on. |

i changed the kick - perhaps the last one was a bit on the heavy side

I'd say call it a day, you've given your best shot, spent a lot of time on it, time to move on. I like the way you use only a few elements at once but I would just suggest you make them more interesting - listen to some up to date trap for ideas of leads etc. |

Lush pads - for me the kick is not right because this style of music is very restful and washes over you, but the kick is too dominant - personally I'd go for some little minimal quirky sounding kick and keep it pushed back a bit. Almost like the sound you get if you ever used to make a pretend kick as a kid using a battery and a speaker. |
