| Ok, that does it. Ryan, you've proven yourself to be too juvenile to participate in this thread. It was clearly implied in the OP that if this was to go off without a hinch a certain level of maturity would have to upheld. Sadly, you showed that you are not grown up enough to be a part of the WIP Guild. I've talked to DigiNut, and he told me that I could tell you that if you didn't stay out of this thread, he would suspend, or even ban you. |

So, okay.. to kick this off then..
Here's a WIP thing I made.. If you want to post a WIP of your own, you need to say something about how awesome my bass was and the woofers need more tweet, and sidechain.

It doesn't really sound exciting. There's no groovyness in there. At the first minute mark I like the noise loop that's highpassfiltered in and later on turns into percussion.
Passing the 2 minute mark I'm desperate for melodic content. Although things change over time there is no real development. I miss tension in the rythmic section as well making this preview rather dull as there is too little to excite me as I'm listening. In terms of mixing there is nothing I can really contribute. It sounds decent in it's current form.

Need to find some melody to put in there at some point. Getting previews up to that point usually is rather easy. |

I'm not really a fan of this minimalistic house sound, but the atmosphere you've imparted really is quite lovely.
The stabbing chords are hinting at something wide and reverby, so I hope you can find the inspiration to nail that lead or hook you're looking for.
I'm hearing a big portamento gliding thing, but then I always hear that.....
Quality stuff, I can't really fault it as it stands now.
I don't really have any WIPS as such so I'll post something I did several months ago.
I'm thinking the kick isn't right, and I never really felt the bassline. But it was fun to do as I don't often make tracks like this.

Yeah man this is cool. What I'd do is like at the end, pull the cutoff on that stabby thing back down again, and introduce like a gangsta whine/theremin type sound that's playing a rythm across two or three octaves. just floating on the top sqeaking the wet out the girls, yknow. So kinda the opposite of what tehlord is hearing, but similar in nature. add fueled if you'd like. oh and some more sloopy drums. make it sound like 98.

i don't mind the kick. sounds pretty fat. not really a fan of the bass line. sounds like a cool intro? would be curious to hear the rest of those saws and some kinda melody on top of it.

this is dope. the hats are a bit too loud, but prob just soundcloud compression like you mentioned. |

this reminds me of andre sobota's track 'found', which is the biggest compliment i could personally give you. i'd love to hear a finished product. nice start.

for the record:
track was allright i guess. the sound of the piano reminded me of East 17 - Thunder. Melody and vocals are pretty nice, though pretty generic. I like the sound of the bass when it comes in, but Im not loving that part tbh, but that might be because I mostly listen to techno.. keep itup yo |
