Oh and belated Merry Christmas you bunch of production heathens :p
Great work Richard - It reminds of early Bukem and Chicane stuff.
Yes I thought the same - Storyteller!!!
Thanks for the kind comments on my tracks guys, the label Storyteller originally put me in touch with are singing it - I'd be nothing without Storyteller!
They want a 2nd track for an EP with this one, so I will post up a WIP for feedback shortly.

Just another WIP after few hours in studio today lol - I know is Christmas but had some idea in my head and had to layout it out in Ableton before I forget about it lol.
Here we go guys - WIP "Can You Feel Desire":
Cheers,
Darek
I like everything but I'm not sold on that lead sound from about 40 seconds in, for me it sounds a little GM clumsy
Nice chilled feel

Happy New Year everyone!
Darek, I agree with Rich regarding synth at 40 secs. Everything else is nice.
Here is another idea

Heh, 2018 was about taking a step back and focus on what is most important. Side projects killed, my little company killed, most studio gear sold (all willingly). Overall 2018 has been astounding, especially the last 3 months. New job, new home, newborn Son in December. The new home part will be featured on national tv in March :stongue:
Now, I hope, I can do some music again in the near future, albeit laptop production. The new home is a significant improvement over the old one we did not incorporate a studio space in the new home, so for now all the good stuff rests (dynaudio's, echo audiofire) in a closet space. :toothless.
Hope I didn't miss too much over here, but by the looks of it things are getting rather quiet :(.

I've put some drums here. Any thoughts on this? Is kick too low?
Mel David
This is a lazy cover. Just a simple remapping of instruments from a MIDI file I downloaded.
MSZ
ill listen if you do this one
Mel David
If I can find a MIDI of that loop I'll probably do a hardstyle cover as I purchased the Rob Papen collection in 2018 and yet to fully explore RAW & kick instruments. Flammie has a kind of syncopated machine gun rhythm to it.
I've actually been searching for Secret of Mana figures to use for my videos.
I need to make music my priority this year. I wasted far too much time on social media in 2018. Did you know Stallone has three gorgeous daughters and Van Damme has one. Makes me want to move to LA. I'll join any caravan. I'll jump any wall! They all want to become Instagram models these days.
Some SOM MIDI files here: http://www.midishrine.com/index.php?console=sns
On Mac the current version of QuickTime Player can't play MIDI files, but QuickTime Player 7 can.
Mel David
Okay, that Flammie loop is not there, I'll have to keep searching. If fail, I'll use Melodyne to extract MIDI from the audio. If fail, Ill just have to learn to play it by ear.
In other gaming news...
And here are some more of my dope ass lyrics.

Happy New Year All!
So, a little note behind this.
A few days ago I was seeking inspiration through my old folders of quirky bits and chunks of music from days past.
Nothing seemed to stand out but I remembered seeing an old sample pack(which was so old I couldn't even tell you where I got it) that had some cool guitar one shots.
Started fiddling around and came upon one particular sample that stuck with me through out the day and eventually landed me pulling up my guitar and over dubbing it into Ableton.
It's a uppedy riff but what followed I did not expect as I just went with the following lead.
What was especially funny was that I was humming a lead vox chop. And I actually liked it enough to possibly put some vox chops of my own. (Oh gawd)
No, this is not my normal type of track but oddly enough it interested me enough to keep going.
Still undeveloped but the composition and arrangement of tones I am liking right off the bat. Hell, this is only really 45 minutes of work, even with 8 tracks of layering on the lead.
Contemplating shortening by 4 bars the intro but otherwise to my surprise it is coming together somewhat fast and complete...this is what I got, whatya think...to cheesy? lol

I think this has big potential
