Yep! The vibe is there, whats missing is a female ROLAND lick on the 2 and 4 and ehhmm or ooowhh or yeah, but chopped in the groove and blended in the backgrond, makes it nice and deep |
thanks raph might look into adding a little sample in there |

Liking the swing on this, nice sounds overall. I would vary that 'woop - wuut' tom thing every 4th bar.
Add a little vocal morsel here n there to give it another push.
RAPHIE has mastered Clown, here it is, I wanted to post this up as a thanks to Raphie so people can get a sense of how he's improved it.
I notice now that an electrical click appeared in the break during my export, lol, oh well sorta adds to the track.
Now to find a label!

Not my cup of tea but definitely appreciate quality of this track Richard and with Raphie final touches/polishing of it sounds really good.

As usual after hours spend in studio working on some commitments I end up going through some quick and funny track creation process as form of resetting my state of the mind lol - if you know what mean lol -> here is the result:
Nothing special, nothing pretty just letting my creativity flow lol :D
Cheers,

That's not bad at all mate and it got me moving as it has a good groove and feel. At 1.38 you bring in some cheesey synth line, this totally spoils the track.
I would say don't put a clap on so many of the downbeats as it slightly detracts from the groove (I know some big festival tracks employ a clap like this but it suits that style). |

So finally a real WIP from me, I'm doing a remix of one of Calebs tracks and this is what i got so far:
|
I like the synths. The tribal toms thing is ok, but a bit GM sounding. Layer them up / play a few by hand loosely, vary them as at the mo they are too static and basic.
This track for me could use a change of note on the bass at some point to give that satisfying melodic release, and you need a better bassline anyway, something much more original and groovy. I know Raphie you hate over production and messed with tracks so maybe you will stick with what you've got. |

I have a chord progression in the original. I had the same thought when I heard it but I think he is planning to add the progression in the part after the clip ends. |
