You have quite a unique way of mixing, I actually don't know how you manage to keep the sounds so full across the spectrum - your synths always have plenty of mids and lows.
I agree on the drums, at the mo they are a bit too much of an after though so Id say re-work them |

In the meantime, I've worked a lot on this prog trance track, hope you like

the lead is a bit loud and kinda stands out where it should be snuggled in the mix a bit more. just sounds slightly off to me. it also seems to be a bit squashed over compressed like? the pryda snares are cool too though. it's a very solid idea though for sure, I like the atmosphere |

This is nice Richard, I like how you have so many facets in your music creation. There is a lot of room left in this mix imo, you can put in some really grimey contrast if you choose so, I think it'd add a nice dimension. Something texture wise im thinking : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrfAQI-TIVM the bass mid synth; ofcourse IMO. |
deep house tip: low pass those saw synths! it's a good track but like he said the mix still has a ton of room. one trick is to take the main groove components of your drums, like that skippy hihat you have and just layer it with other percussive sounds. with panning, eq and transient design (and the delay compensation +/- in ableton to push or pull it milisecond wise), you can keep that hihat with its place in the mix while layering it with other things. also maybe leave those plucks that are playing the arpegio type thing for the break, and give the main chunk of the track just drums and chords and bass.
maybe fill out the drums more, the groove is pretty solid is has a good chug to it but the mix is a bit empty. that's not necessarily a bad thing at this point, it's definitely way better than having a crowded mix -- which is a quick way of shutting down any groove.
I think the low-end is the most lacking though. for deep house you really want this area of the mix to be harmonic, warm and punchy. |

Best part for me is 2:38 - 3:30. I would do a song from that part. Great synths and interesting melody. Break after that is way too long for me.
Main melody is somehow 80's pop and it does not fit here to me.
Sounds good, much better than any of mine mixes. |

I've changed the drums and played with eq to clean the sound a bit.

Not used to this kind of aesthetic but I got into it half way though, interesting work.
More poo-poo stuff from me, mixed on computer speakers. |

Thanks for listening. I'm going to leave it as is, hope the levels are OK - I used cheap Behringer headphones. It sounds like on my laptop speakers, but it sounds good on my headphones.

Nice start, perhaps it gets a bit too busy when the synth comes in, swallowing the percussion a bit. |

Dood, this is such a beautiful lush track. Love that sub, it's perfect.
Not to fond of the intro claps at the beginning as they remind me of video game machine guns..lol sorry :haha:
Your breakdown, right before the sub so reminds me of monday bar..always loved a sliding bass.
Man..I have no crits at all man, sounds really good on the ears and you actually want it to continue going.
Imho this has got to be one of your best tracks. Solid *** |
